A beautiful little girl named Elena Desserich, only 6 years old, when she had to noticed that nearly every morning she wasn’t able to use one more finger. Toe or limb.
Within weeks Slena’s whole body was shut down. Just a few weeks before she was diagnosed with brain tumor and was only given 135 more days to live
Elena knew that every coming day would be a gift, not to be wasted, so she created a to-do list of sorts -- swim with dolphins, drive a car and more.
Her cancer progressed and she could no longer speak. And she knew that soon she had to leave her parents and Grace her sister will be very sad. she turned to drawing and painting love letters and spread it all around her house. Her family didn’ knew it.
She lived 255 days, and passed away in 2007. After her death, Elena’s parents, Brooke and Keith, found hundreds of notes from Elena hidden around the house — in between CD cases, between bookshelves, in dresser drawers, in backpacks….
